Valentine’s Week Recap

Welcome back from a long weekend everyone – hope it was a good one! Boston got clobbered with another foot of snow so we spent several hours (5+) shoveling this weekend, but still found time to make it a good one.

As far as fashion goes, here is what my three-day week (thank you snow?) looked like:

Essie Nail Polish: No place like chrome & Forever yummy. I free handed the accent nail, but if you want to try this look with a shaky hand, wait for the first coat of polish to dry, place a piece of tape down at the angle you like, paint over then remove. Voila!

I am loving the dainty jewelry lately. As much as the fun statement jewelry really adds a pop to an outfit, I like the more subtle jewelry as well, especially if your outfit has flashy colors or patterns. I got this set of necklaces at Forever 21.

Since we were due to get snowed in again, and due to last minute planning, this year Brendan and I decided to stay in for Valentine’s Day dinner and cook our own meal. On the menu was filet mignon in a balsamic glaze, mashed potatoes and sauteed asparagus. Topped it off with chocolate covered strawberries for dessert! Mmm mmm good!

We finished the weekend with housekeeping matters – food prepping, cleaning, homework and more shoveling. I wasn’t able to get to the gym other than Saturday so I fit in an at home workout last night. 31 days until Spring!
